In the app (fastest)
- Open Houzzy and sign in.
- Tap your photo at the top of Home to open Profile.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE and confirm. Your account is deleted straight away.
Without the app
Email privacy@houzzy.co.ke from the email address you sign in with, with the subject “Delete my Houzzy account”. We will confirm and delete it within 7 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, name, email and profile photo
- Your ID verification photos and selfie
- Your listings and their photos
- Your saved homes, saved searches and notifications
What is kept, and why
- Chats
- The people you talked to keep their copy of the conversation, which shows you as “Deleted user”.
- Requests
- Requests on other people’s listings stay in their records without your name; open ones are cancelled.
- Reports
- Reports you filed stay, without your name, so Houzzy can keep acting on scams.
- Search history
- Kept only as anonymous statistics.
- Admin audit records
- Records of actions taken on your account, which we keep to protect users and meet legal duties.
Deleting your account can’t be undone. If you only want to stop notifications, turn them off in your phone’s settings instead.
